For my thesis project, I decided to take on a topic that many of us were confronted with in response to COVID-19, health & wellness. In many ways, this project was an outlet. A medium that allowed me to learn, create and imagine a brighter tomorrow.
This project explores a future reality where meaning and understanding of self does not begin with experience, but simply from thought. A future where visualizing is realizing How might we enhance and expand mindfulness within today’s and tomorrow's digital landscape
Mindfulness takes form in diverse ways and acts as a driving force of tools that bring awareness and acceptance.. Tools such as Religion, Spirituality, and Meditation, are all examples of shells of mindfulness that benefit from being able to focus on the still self.
Historically, short intentional pauses are inserted into someone’s flow of life.. Exploring signals such as the quantified self and wearable technologies provide the basis of how we can transform an unintentional pause (mindlessness) into a mindful interaction that brings insight on the self in motion.

The ability to truly be mindful beings: regardless of ones state of mind. Mindfulness becomes a tool to break down the self-obsessed mind, transcending its traditional function of quieting it.
